My Legs Hurt!

Now I see why I need a coach. I am on a mixed up training program. I am trying to train for time trials in Feb and a 100 mile road race March 3. My performance this week is going down because of my legs not recovering. Should I nix the time trials or do it for the experience? But from what I have read that is ok while I am in this 3 week cycle. I have been getting some motivation from watch cycling.tv . I also have some newfound motivation to lose some weight as I should gain a 1.25% increase in climbing performace for every 2.2lbs lost. 20 lbs would give me a 10% increase PLUS my strength and efficiency gains. I should be able to kick LA's butt by year end...lol. Well...it would seem so anyway.
